Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Japan has been manufacturing turbochargers since 1957, and in 1991 MHI Equipment Europe (MEE), the European subsidiary company of MHI established in Almere, The Netherlands, also began the production of turbochargers for the automobile Industry.
In 2011 the worldwide number of MHI automotive turbochargers produced will be over 5,000,000 per year. With its present manufacturing locations, in 2012 the total annual production capacity of turbochargers will be more than 6,000,000 per year.
At MEE, the production capacity is currently increasing from 2,000,000 turbochargers in 2008 to annually 4,000,000 turbochargers in 2012. Together with the supplies from MHI Japan, they cover a significant amount of the market demand of the European automotive industry.
In addition to that, MHI (Japan), MENA (USA) and MEE (Europe) combined have already been a global player for many years now. Over the years, MEE's turbochargers have been renowned for their most advanced design. It combines the lightest weight, most silently balanced and best response with a very competitive price.
MEE's well-developed design allows full automatic robot assembly and provides the world's highest quality standard.
Mitsubishi engines are available in the range from 3.5 to approx. 3700 kW. Available through the dealers, distributors and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) network.
The Mitsubishi engines that are intended for marine applications are generally supplied through distributors in the various European countries who have been contractually appointed by MEE. All engines can be supplied to meet the certification standards of major marine classification societies.
